Have you noticed that, somehow, the entire month of November is now "Black Friday"? I thought I had done a pretty good job of unsubscribing from marketing emails, but I'm still inundated with both Black Friday promotions and Plan your 2025 courses/programs/products at every turn.
So, here are a few small reminders when it comes to marketing/business-related promotions at this time of year:
1, regarding Black Friday: It makes sense to get business things on sale if you know for sure you were planning to buy them anyway. But, remember the graveyard of "courses/programs/things we bought because we might need them later" that you probably already have? Maybe you could use those in 2025 and get whatever it is next year, if you still want it?
2, regarding Plan your 2025: The main thing that will make your 2025 go more smoothly is your own brain. Sometimes it's nice to have a shiny new tool/planner/pen/course, but most of the time, those things don't make a substantial difference.
If you have a tiny voice in the back of your head telling you that you don't actually need this thing, maybe save the money or spend it instead on a very nice cheese or a bodywork session? 99.9% of the time you will absolutely never regret the things you didn't buy during a big sale.
Also, while there is a certain appeal to getting a discount, there is also the unseen cost of adding to your "I should do/use that because I paid money for it" pile. Suddenly, you have more "shoulds" that you could ever reasonably complete.
You're great just the way you are. Don't worry about missing out. Trust your gut
Take care,
Camille
