I'm writing to you on a one-day stopover in Qatar on my way back to the States. Since our time here is short and my mind is a bit bleary, I thought it might be nice to re-share a podcast episode I recorded a while back. (Podcast is coming back soon, btw!)

Episode 50: No one knows what they're doing

I often hear from frustrated people who have spent time and money to learn exactly what to do to have a practice that's financially supporting them, and who have then walked away feeling like they still don't have what they need.

In a lot of classes and books, the teachers/authors are sharing what they did to build their practice or business.

In reality, the "right" way forward is different for everyone. Their method worked for them, but it won't necessarily work for you in exactly the same way. No one can tell you what steps to take to build your practice. You're the only one who can piece together the path that will move you forward.

Once you accept that there isn't a class, mentor, formula, book, etc* that will tell you exactly what to do, it becomes easier to understand that you're in the driver's seat.

It's a a bit scary and also empowering to realize this, and once you do, things start happening.

Onward. Upward.

Take care,

Camille

* I'm absolutely not saying that classes, mentors, books, etc are not helpful along the way. In my experience, they are. Think of these as supportive characters rather than directors, though.
