In the beginning of your practice, it's easy to get bogged down in big picture things. What's my work in the world? How do I describe what I do? If I offer this thing, will it be enough? Too much? Does this fit into my 5 year vision?

When you get stuck, sometimes it makes sense to set these bigger questions aside for a bit.

Instead, look around and identify a need or opening in your community. What's something small that you can do, offer, or share to make a difference right now?

A salve-making class. A recipe book. A wintertime herb walk + consult combo. A mystery box. A fund-raiser for a cause you care about. A yoga + nutrition for hard times workshop.

Try something like this. Especially if it's something fun or particularly meaningful to you. You don't need to do it forever. Start where you are, and iterate from there.

Take care,

Camille
