May 18, 2023

It's peony season (my favorite!), the soil is perfect for easy weeding, and I'm still obsessed with the Merlin app.

(If you missed the Merlin app recommendation a few weeks back, it's a free app that lets you ID birds by their sound in real time. It's amazing. Just trust me on this one.)

Also, I have definitely been struck by spring fever. I have at least a hundred ideas for new classes, I cleaned baseboards yesterday (!), and I want to do, learn, and participate in ALL the things.

So much so that I can barely sleep.

I am embarrassed to say that it took me several nights of this before I realized a) we have herbs for this exact situation, and b) I had entirely let go of my "calm down before bed" routine involving gentle movement, reading a book, and turning off my devices.

I'm struck once again by how easy it is to forget these things, even as a practitioner who does this for a living.

This is why people need us, y'all. It's often not for the knowledge/information. The surfacing of the knowledge and the partnership of someone who can see things we can't see and remind us of things we don't always remember is key.

In summary: don't forget about herbs + maybe get yourself a practitioner, even if you "should" know what to do 💚

Take care,

Camille
