Speaking with Power
Monday, January 31 from 5-6 pm ET
with guest teacher Megan Hamilton
"Speaking With Power" covers all of the bases so that you can give a confident and authentic presentation. We'll dive right into physicality (using principles from Alexander Technique); breathing exercises to stay calm (so that your brain doesn't override your ability to function); speaking with a resonant and powerful voice; and text mapping (marking up your text) to give a strong guiding light forward.
You'll leave our 60 minute session with the tools, tips and tricks you need to give an excellent presentation. Come with comfortable clothes, water and something to take notes!
When you leave, you'll know:
- How to carry your body (standing or sitting) to have a strong physical presence
- How to breathe using deep and controlled breathing to stay calm and support a resonant voice
- How to speak supportively using your optimum pitch
- How to mark up your text to bake in controlled breathing and allow for maximum connection with your audience
